Read a recent review from one of our traders
The Yak Group at www.omgyak.com is an online day trading tutorial company that offers various products and services to create and hone day trading techniques among both novices and experts. The Yak Group is all about teaching the inner workings and techniques of the market while preaching caution and realism, as opposed to some sites that claim to offer exclusive secrets and quick-return investments. One of the unique products offered by The Yak Group is the Yak Webinar, an opportunity to sit in on a day trader’s day and watch live as he works.
The Yak Webinar is kind of like an internship from home — but instead of filing papers and getting coffee, you pay a monthly fee. The Webinar is a per-month subscription of $199.00, what first appears to be a relatively steep cost at nearly $2,400 per year. However, the Yak Group website claims that with the Yak Webinar, “you will be able to see our trades in progress, view our charts and trade alerts, and hear an expert trader as he makes decisions about individual trades and trading strategy, all on your home computer. You will also be connected to the Yak chat room, a place where novice and advanced traders can mingle, ask questions, and discuss their trading techniques.” So is it worth it?
Luckily for day traders in bloom, The Yak Group offers a few free video clips and highly recommends customers acquaint themselves with the Webinar experience through the videos before making the commitment — which lends a lot of credibility to the program. Once you subscribe, the meat of the experience is getting a live view of an experienced day trader’s monitor, complete with a chat screen and explanation of the latest trades that went down. In addition, you’re able to hear the trader’s thought process as he explains exactly what he’s doing and why, in his mind, he should be doing it.
The actual screen isn’t that interesting or insightful without taking enough courses to know what you’re looking at. The true benefit comes from being able to chat and interact with others as the trading happens. You can easily share strategies, tips, and opinions, all of which seem to be openly expressed among users. It really does feel more like a community, no doubt thanks in part to the exclusivity. The trader will post or speak responses occasionally, though you’re better off watching intently for 10 to 15-minute periods, as questions will often be answered in his explanations.
The audio for the Webinars is unfortunately low quality, partially due to the uploading transfer rate. However, it would do the Webinar a great service to upgrade the audio quality at the very least by having the trader wear a lavaliere microphone along with a higher audio sample rate. The screen and chat functions are also relatively rudimentary, though the point of the Webinars is by no means to be aesthetic. The main point is to be functional and live, two qualities that certainly shine through in the service.
There are rarely any lulls or down moments during the Webinars simply because day trading is such an active and fast-paced trade. Still, despite the speed, the Webinars are conducted professionally and functionally, and the community involvement allows for other users to step in and help out while learning from a professional. Could there be improvements? Sure, particularly with the audio stream and visible presentation. But as it stands, the The Yak Group Webinars are a solid investment for anybody looking for serious, visible day trading advice. With enough attentiveness, users will be making a lot more off their trades than the $199.00 subscription fee.

Using the latest technology, im able to provide all my traders with access to my desktop in real time, explain what I see on my charts real time. My students benefit from being able to ask questions on the fly while being in the room together. Everyone is able to exchange ideas in a group setting and improve their profitablity as a trader.
Day trading is extremely risky. Never risk money that you cannot afford to completely lose.
